When it opened back in 1954, the Showboat Hotel & Casino quickly earned a reputation for friendly service, outstanding dining, exciting gaming action and great entertainment. In March 2000, the Showboat changed hands, and the new owners have reached back into Las Vegas' past and re-christened the "Flagship of the Boulder Strip" with a historic name filled with tradition: the Castaways.
Accommodations: The 19-story tower features 445 deluxe rooms and suites. Poolside garden rooms serve as a great option for the traveler looking for an economic break. Guestrooms include coffee service, satellite TV, and room service. There's also an 84-space RV park with full hook-ups including power and phone service, full laundry facilities, private showers and a dog run.
Convenient valet parking is available along with free covered and surface parking. Meeting facilities on the second-floor convention center can accommodate groups of 25 to 1,100 with full banquet and catering services.
Casino & Gaming: Castaway's 80,000-square-foot casino is bright and spacious, featuring about 1,400 slot and video poker machines, Keno and a variety of your favorite table games.
Attractions and Entertainment: Castaways attracts plenty of families because of its bowling center and supervised day-care center at an affordable price.
